So lately, I've been seeing lots of big chunky necklaces with beads, pearls, flowers, feather, etc hanging off of them. I like them, but I feel like most of them are just a little much for me to pull off. (I'm not very adventurous when it comes to fashion). My kid, who has way more fashion skills then her mother, wanted one and so we made her this one. I think it turned out fun and adorable-I would even wear it. She loves it so much I think she declared it her "second-day-of school" outfit.
Would you like to make one too?
We bought this long pink chain at Hobby Lobby.
( Sorry for the picture) I just made a pleated ruffle rosette. Just cut a long piece of fabric, fold it in half. Then stitch close to the edge while folding the fabric. Then twist it around to make a flower. (does that make any sense?). Hot glue a felt circle on the back.Cut another felt circle. Place it under the chain and hot glue the felt circle of the rosette on top. (Basically you make felt circle sandwich with the chain in the middle.) You're done! Quick, easy and cute.
