The Superbowl is over, can we blog about baseball?
We drew my brother-in-law's name for Christmas. He's a HUGE baseball fan and even played a little in the minors. I was inspired by this:
I used the freezer-paper stencil technique on some linen-like fabric for the letters. I wanted to stitch the 2 pieces together using a baseball stitch, but despite reading several tutorials and even watching a video, it just wouldn't look right. I finally gave up and just stitched each side separately. Then I used fusible webbing to attach it to a piece of foam board and put it in a frame.
Did you spot the error? I just did. I think this thing has got about 500 pins and some one just pointed out the error. So do I call up my bro-in-law and tell him I'll fix it?

I love it. Super clever and your version turned out great.
