Bat invasion

My house has been invaded by bats and I love it!  I saw this idea over at Dana Made it and thought it would be really fun for the living room wall.

 I printed out this stencil:

and grabbed a stack of black card stock and scissors before I left for my daughter's swim practice last night.  I stacked a couple of sheets on top of each other, so it only took about 30 minutes. Then I taped them on the wall this afternoon. Easy Peasy.

With the scraps, I cut our smaller ones for above the kitchen.
I am having way too much fun decorating for Halloween.
(Do you think I should get around to getting drapes? Those naked windows are driving me crazy)

Can't get enough Halloween?

TIP: If you don't already have a pair, you should buy these:

I cut 6 pieces of cardstock at a time and so I could cut out all those bats easily under 30 minutes.  (Fiskars isn't paying me to say this). I've had mine for probably 15 years and they're still sharp and the spring makes cutting really easy.

  2. I'm sooo digging those bats! As soon as I saw them on her blog I went and printed off the template, but it's taking me WAY longer than 30 minutes - I need to step it up :D
