First I stole these vintage laundry tip prints from BHG( click here to download a set of your own). Then I stuck spray painted some frames from the dollar store.
Then I stole this cute saying from Artsy VaVa. I stole a piece of scrap wood from my Dad's stash, stained it, painted it, stenciled it and sanded it again. I tied on some pretty ribbon, because I am a girl and that's what we do.
Here they are hanging on the wall. (this was really hard to take a picture of-it's a long skinny room).
Come back tomorrow for the big laundry room reveal.
(I still hate laundry-but the room makes me happy)
Linking up here.
well I think it looks great and if the police come for you, i'll bail out!
ReplyDeleteI am flattered that you liked my sign enough to make one for yourself! You did a great job on it too!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL! I love that sign. I hate folding laundry myself so I can't count the number of times I've started folding a fitted sheet, stepped back only to reveal a tangled lump that would give Martha Stewart fits, and eventually just shoved the whole mess into a matching pillow case with the hope no one would be inspecting my linen closet any time soon. This sign must find a home in my house now. XD Looks like the stealing circle is going strong. Heh.
ReplyDeleteLove that sign. I just watched a video this week on folding those darn things. Nope - I still couldn't do it!
ReplyDeleteSo so cute. My laundry room is unfinished...I wish it was as cute as yours.
ReplyDeleteCute! I love the prints, very fun. And the colors are bright and cheery---who wouldn't want to do laundry in there? ;)
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I have these in my laundry room too! Check out my makeover here: http://antsi-pants.blogspot.com/2011/04/laundry-room-makeover.html
ReplyDeleteFolding fitted sheets is for people who don't have adventures! Well, OK. If I actually got one folded right, I would be really excited! ;-) 'Love your laundry room! -Marci
ReplyDeleteI LOVE LOVE LOVE this!!! I really want to try it right away! will be pinning it.
ReplyDeleteI love this! I would love if you would link this to my blog party this weekend. Hope you can join in!
ReplyDeleteHaha, love this post. I don't hate laundry, I just hate that it is the most taken-for-granted-that-I-worked-on-that job. I can manage to find, fetch, wash, dry, and fold it, and then it stays in the basket only to end up all unfolded as it gets pawed through instead of someone just putting it away!! ;)
ReplyDeleteGood job, and good luck. I hope your art helps motivate you!

I finally finished my vintage laundry tips. They look exactly like yours--red frames! I love them and they make me smile every time I go into my laundry room!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh those frames directions are hilarious. I might need some for my laundry room:) Too bad mine is in the garage though. I love it!
