Knock Off Monday-Bow shirts.

I love me a cute shirt w/ a bow in the front.
Anthropology $128

H&M (no longer available)
This project didn't start off as a knock-off.  I started by making veiw B of Simplicity 1915.  It looked cute in the picture, but in real life it looked like a clown shirt and that's just not what I was going for.
Line Drawing
In the words of Tim Gunn, I decided to "make it work".  There are no step-by-step pics, because I was making it up as I was going along.
I pulled out my seam ripper and tore off the clown ruffle.  Then I split the shirt about 3 inches down the front center and finished the edges.  Then I attached a grey gross-grain ribbon to each side.  I then gathered the sleeves and attached a cuff.

TADAA!

I love white and navy together.  (It's not as shiny in real life).

She's now ready for a weekend in the Hamptons-or 8th grade.
